Country: US
Released: 1964
Genre: Classical
Style: Romantic
Notes:
Stereo version with black labels rather than purple labels. Release date inferred from the Library of Congress CC number (R 64-1582/3). Interestingly, the labels on this appear to be identical to the labels on the mono version (black with no mention of stereo and with the catalog number PL 12.760 rather than the STPL 512.760 that appears on the spine and the back of the jacket). I considered whether this might be a mono copy stuck in a stereo jacket, but listening to this, it is clearly a stereo recording. Perhaps some of the earliest stereo examples had the mono label used on them before a stereo label was produced? Pure speculation, but, again, this is clearly a stereo recording but with the same label as on the mono release.
