This 1985 release is one of the most significant political music projects of the era. Little Steven conceived, organized, and produced the Sun City project, bringing together more than 50 artists to protest apartheid in South Africa and encourage a cultural boycott of the Sun City resort.

Steven Van Zandt is also widely recognized as Bruce Springsteen's longtime guitarist and founding member of the E Street Band, as well as for his iconic portrayal of Silvio Dante on HBO's The Sopranos.

The album features an extraordinary lineup including Bruce Springsteen, Bob Dylan, Bono, Run-D.M.C., Lou Reed, Miles Davis, Herbie Hancock, Pat Benatar, Joey Ramone, Keith Richards, Peter Gabriel, and many more.
