Country:    Canada
Released:
1975
Genre:       Classical
Style:         Romantic

Notes:

Evidence shows two CS 6488 releases from 1975 and no sooner than 1979, both marketed in Canada. This is the earlier.

Most of the data is identical, of the same recording. Here are the distinct differences:

This CS 6844 states on the LP Labels "Made In England," but the other states "Made in Holland" and "Mastered by Decca Recording Studio S UK."

In this release the front cover, upper left includes a Union Jack & "Record Imported from England," while the other does not, and instead has a sticker at the bottom stating, in part, "Imported Record... Distribution PolyGram"

The FC upper right is the same in both: "London ffrr" logo includes "full frequency range recording" in small banner under the primary logo.

FC lower left also the same, with credits for photography and cover design.

In this release the back cover lower right includes as its third copyright notice:
London Records of Canada (1967) Ltd.
6265 Cote De Liesse,
St. Laurent, Quebec H4T 1C3

which is missing from the other release.

And this release does not include, as found on the later release, across lower back cover "PolyGram Distribution" and two lines of copyright warnings includes "PolyGram Distribution Inc." at the same address as the 1975 citation for London Records of Canada Inc. given above.

Since London Records of Canada (1967) Ltd. was active from 1967 to 1979, THIS release of a UK pressing was marketed in Canada between 1975 and 1979.

Since PolyGram Distribution (Canada) incorporated in 1979, if the images associated with it are correct, it
is a Canadian distribution of a Netherlands pressing released no earlier than 1979.

Other data cited (credits) is uniform with both releases, except this release does not indicate where the recording was mastered.
